The Amir Timur Museum is a moderately new museum, located in the very center of the city of Tashkent, the capital of Uzbekistan. it was built to celebrate the 660th birthday of Timur. Nearby there is a park with huge trees and a horse statute of Timur, the 'conqueror of the Universe'. The huge blue dome, columns and fine interior of the Museum's bulidng attracts glances of numerous visitors to the area.

Inside the museum, you can learn how the dynasty of Timurids emerged and came to power, the history of Timur's war raids and victories he had won while establishig his huge empire which stretched from Turkey to Mongolia, and from Russia to India.
